Dr. James Shuttleworth is extremely passionate about caring for animals. His love specifically for dogs and cats originated in Erie, Pennsylvania and grew into a career at the veterinary school of Ohio State University. After completing his studies there, he furthered his veterinary education through an internship at NC State. Dr. Shuttleworth enjoys caring for all patients and delivering the next level of veterinary care at TVRH.
In addition to his passion for veterinary medicine, Dr. Shuttleworth enjoys many outdoor activities. While hiking and running are some of his favorites, he also loves following college football, especially when his undergraduate alma mater, Notre Dame is playing. Go Irish! Dr. Shuttleworth currently serves as an emergency clinician at our Durham hospital.
